My mission statement can be easily summarized as:
I'm here to help you romanticize your life. I believe in living in the moment, and that life is too short not to be expressing yourself freely. I'm passionate about curating an empowering space where you can express yourself authentically and be vulnerable in a safe space. My goal is to help you feel like the main character of your own life. Together, we'll plan a personalized session that reflects your style, personality, and personal story. Whether you're seeking something playful, romantic, sensual, or cinematic, I'm committed to capturing your essence in a way that's beautiful while still feeling meaningful to you. Let’s start planning how to tell your story and empower you to embrace your true self.
I am committed to capturing your story through photographs because I feel strongly regarding the imperative necessity for us (sentimental day-dreamers we humans are) to romanticize our lives: both the magical moments and the mundane.
Documenting your life through photography is a necessity, in my personal opinion, because one day: you’ll want something to look back on when the time comes that a photo is all thats left to stir up past memories of a moment, a person, a place.
This is my high-level, ulterior motive behind my business: I desire to help push people forward on their paths of self-discovery and help others explore their personal values, beliefs, and navigate the big ole topic of “self-concept” (sometimes for the first time in their life). I do this through intentional pre-session questionnaires, planning and a boudoir post-session self-love workbook. I do this all while also sharing about my own story of finding my sense of identity on my social platforms to encourage vulnerability in others.
Telling love stories has been my obsession since day one. I started out by photographing love and I swear that’s how I wanna go out, too! Documenting love stories has taken many different forms for me over the years as I’ve chased down ways to tell these stories to the best of my ability.
I am committed to capturing/telling love stories because I personally believe feeling meaningfully connected is how our emotional and spiritual batteries are charged. Helping charge this battery for others genuinely helps me feel fulfilled and connected to my community.
My boudoir clients tend to come to me full of fear and lacking confidence: they need a hype gal, a mood boost, a break from reality: and I'm their gal!
I'm committed to empowering others through boudoir photography because providing this safe space for others to be vulnerable in is important to me. It is something I would want for myself, so it is something I focus on for my clients.
Sometimes all someone needs is a little permission to feel empowered, confident, sexy without judgement. I give you that!
I offer a fully guided experience with pose direction/coaching that involves a customized, documentary story-telling approach that focuses on you.
I strive for my artsy corner of the internet to be an inclusive space, offering a diverse portfolio that helps everyone feel seen and represented and allow many to resonate with my artwork. I am always trying to be better in this regard! If you don’t feel represented in my art, please know that I am trying, and I would absolutely adore for you to get in contact with me anyway, without fear of judgement or shame.
Body positivity is a core value of mine and this extends past myself and encompasses everyone: I will always advocate for all bodies being good bodies! Know that you are worthy, and that your body has gotten you through life so far, so it is important to show yourself kindness, patience, compassion, and love.
As a person: I am intentional, methodical, and detail oriented. I can sometimes get stuck focusing on the details and planning of it all just as often as I can get swept away in the flow of a session. I find my ability to switch between a macro and micro outlook during my sessions to be beneficial to my clients as it ensures a diverse gallery of images.
I hope to transform my clients with my art by authentically telling their story. I want to leave you with photos & products that feel meaningful, sentimental, affirming. I will never prioritize the aesthetics of my “instagram feed” or portfolio over the needs and desires you approach me with regarding your session. My hope is that this consideration impacts you in a positive, meaningful way. I admit this does serves my own personal goals, as I am constantly encouraging and promoting everyone & anyone to take more photos to romanticize their lives, every moment! Romanticizing your life is the practice of finding joy in the everyday and appreciating what you have rather than waiting for big moments to enjoy life. It's a way of looking at life that can make it more enjoyable and can be a form of mindfulness.
My hope is that the photoshoot experience and photos will impact you in a way that helps you feel seen and feel affirmed and validated. This experience will usher you forward on your personal journey of self-acceptance, self-discovery, empowerment, and gaining of confidence. Sometimes being given permission to truly express yourself in a safe and nonjudgemental atmosphere and receive validation for it can positively impact you in a lasting way that helps heal damaged self-concepts and help you go on to be more confident. My ultimate goal is to help you to NOT feel like a passenger in your own life but to INSTEAD to feel like the freaking MAIN CHARACTER of your story!
In the end, my photography creates a cohesive narrative that is expressive and story-telling with a focus on artistic details. The showing of intimacy and vulnerability makes my work stand out and appealing to my fellow humans who appreciate depth, emotion, and creativity in their art. This style invites you to engage with the images on a personal level and reflect on your own story, emotions or aspirations through my lens.
